Engineering in Integral Natural Resources Management


Mission

To train humanistic citizen leaders in the management of natural resources, through scientific knowledge with criteria of quality and innovation, through the philosophy of Learning-by-Doing that respond to the needs of society, contributing to national and regional sustainable development.

To be a career that forms citizen leaders who comprehensively manage natural resources with ethics, respect for culture, participation and solidarity, applying scientific knowledge, becoming a national and regional reference to achieve sustainable development.

  • The degree in Integrated Natural Resources Management Engineering defines that graduates are able to:

    • It contributes to community development with equity and relevance.
    • Proposes and develops appropriate technologies for conservation.
    • Applies technical-scientific knowledge using methods and tools in an effective manner for the integrated management of natural resources.
    • Manages research projects for the generation of knowledge.
    • Train, guide and promote integrated production systems to improve the living conditions of the population.
    • Establish mechanisms to value ecosystem services.

    The Engineer in Integral Management of Natural Resources has the necessary preparation to excel in numerous areas of competence, with a wide range of employment alternatives in all sectors associated with the production and sustainable management of natural resources.

    • Management, Direction and Coordination: Manage, direct and coordinate natural resource management processes Design, construction, operation and improvement of plants and processes to prevent and control environmental pollution.
    • Management: Efficient management of natural assets and ecosystem services.
    • Advisory and consulting services: In areas related to natural resource management.
    • Teaching: Approach to environmental issues, management and sustainable use of resources.
    • Research: Conduct research, especially participatory research with communities for the management and rational use of the environment.
    • As an independent professional: He may practice his profession advising the Public and Private Industrial Sector.
  • The student who aspires to enter the career of Engineering in Integral Management of Natural Resources, must have a disposition towards the management of the environment that allows him/her to intervene in the different contexts in which he/she studies, an adequate attitude for reading, critical and creative judgment in order to get involved in the productive processes in a sustainable manner.

    In order to do so, you must demonstrate that you possess:
