The School of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics, created by article 108 of the bylaws, includes teaching, research, links with society and the state, production and commercialization of goods and services, adequate management of its human and material resources in support of academia, operations and institutional growth, facilitating the evaluation of university activities, as well as the generation of methodologies and instruments socialized among the university community.
To provide solutions to problems of the national livestock sector, through the training of ethical professionals, with scientific, technical and managerial capacity, committed to the needs of food safety, nutrition, production and animal health.
To be a prestigious scientific and academic entity, recognized nationally and internationally for its intellectual and technological leadership in veterinary and zootechnical medical sciences, through innovative education, creative research applied to animal and human welfare and effective linkage with society and the Honduran state.
